Since the launch of the Internet in the 90’s, our world has become more connected than ever. The words Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn are part of everyday conversation. Why are these social media channels gaining so much attention? Well, because everyone is there – and more and more people are doing business there. We are going to help you plug into these networks, engage candidates and referral sources, and improve your ability to reach, engage, and convert quality talent through social media.
At QUEsocial, our mission is clear: we believe companies have an extraordinary opportunity to harness social media as a rich and vibrant channel to engage with their “Talent of Tomorrow,” and we are passionate about making it a reality. With QUEsocial, it is an easy, measurable and sustainable reality.
In a very short time, you will be building your social community, sharing valuable content with them, engaging new passive candidates, learning best practices for each channel, and having fun doing it! You see, QUEsocial has a little secret. We have created a cool game that runs in the background – supporting and rewarding your efforts - from small steps, such as a new connection, to large leaps, like a new hire. Your fellow players and the QUE team will also be there with you to support your efforts, collaborate on ideas, celebrate wins, and ask questions if you get stuck.

Let’s get started!
Most of us know what Social Media platforms are and what they do, but you may not be sure how best to use them for business. Included in the QUEsocial platform is access to an e-learning library of social media do’s/ don’ts, best practices and social media use by job-function and industry. The training episodes were developed by the QUEsocial faculty members who are recognized for their leadership in using social media as a business tool.
In Appendix A, you will find specific descriptions of each Training Episode in the order we suggest you view them and how long each will take you to complete. In particular, before you get started, we strongly suggest you review “Engagement without Embarrassment”, which is a great guide in using social media effectively for business.
After you go through a few of the episodes, you will find a common theme in social media: content is king! As you will hear us frequently say, social media is about building relationships and it all starts with what you say and how you convey it.
With QUEsocial, you will always have access to shareable content that is relevant to your target audience. This could be in the form of an interesting article, a video from an important thought leader, a recent industry survey, or an infographic for your followers to read. Sharing content sparks engagement. That is why we start conversations with ice breakers or chit chat. It is all to get the folks on the receiving end to interact with us.
All of the content is available by mobile device, iPhone® and Android™, as well as via email and direct through QUEsocial so that you will be able to share it with your social channels at the click of a button from anywhere at anytime.
Game and Challenges
To help you along the social media journey, we have developed a game engine to keep you motivated in your social business endeavors. Every social media activity of any sort earns points once you begin your QUE experience – whether you are in the QUEsocial platform or not. Our training episodes will help get you up and running on the social channels, and QUEsocial challenges will help you implement that training. As you learn, you will be rewarded along the way with points, status, recognition, and rewards from your organization.
There are multiple ways to accumulate points – including:
- Sharing content
- Adding connections
- Growing your network
- Accept challenges
- Complete challenges
- Training episodes
- Self-report on ‘scout’s honor’ challenges
You will notice as you complete actions, challenges and accumulate points, new opportunities become available to keep the game fresh, exciting and always FUN!
What would a community be without our conversations? The Discuss tab is set up just for that. Interact with fellow members of your team to collaborate on ideas, ask questions when you get stuck, or give recognition (like a virtual ‘high-five’) to someone. The conversations are organized by genre so you can easily find answers to common questions or even pose your own for fellow QUE-sers to answer. At QUEsocial, we also have a dedicated community manager that you will be able to contact at any time with any questions so that you know you have the support you need to get a leg up on QUEsocial.
How do I get started?
Once your administrator adds you to the QUEsocial platform, you will receive a welcome email with login instructions. Your username will not change, but you will be prompted to change your password when you login for the first time. You can access the platform by going to http://my.quesocial.com.
How do I reset my password if I forget it?
There is a handy Forgot Password button on the login screen that will provide you a set of instructions on how to reset your password.
I already have a Facebook account. How do I link it to QUEsocial?
Once you login, click on the menu in the upper left and go to the Manage section or select the Manage tab, depending on your view. This is your main dashboard for your account settings and personal profile. You will see where you can link your profile to your facebook account. Click on this link. A pop-up screen will instruct you to enter your credentials for that network. Once you do that your account is linked and ready to use.
Why has my social network been unlinked from the platform? What do I do to address this?
There are 3 main reasons why a user’s social network becomes unlinked from the platform:
- User ID token expires – the user needs to reauthenticate each network connection about every 60 days
- User changes password for a social network
- User tries to use multiple accounts (i.e. They have more than one FB or Twitter account), and switches from one to the other
When this happens, you will receive an email notification from the platform, letting you know that you need to re-link that network. In order to do this, log into http://my.quesocial.com, click on the “Manage” tab, and find the icon for the correct social network. Next to that icon, you will find a link that says “Link X Account”. Click that link and follow the instructions to link your account.
Can I receive both texts and email notifications from QUEsocial?
Yes! In your manage tab at the top there is a link titled, “Change my notifications”. Here you will be able to choose email and/or phone as your preference for notifications coming from QUE.
How do I know what my first challenge is?
When you login, at the top right hand side of your screen you will see four columns: Your name and picture, Score, Challenge, and Progress. Click on the see all link under Challenge and a pop-up screen will bring you to your Challenge dashboard. Here you will see what challenges you have to complete and what ones you have available.
I am ready to start my first training. Where do I go?
On the left hand side of your screen you will have four tabs: Share, Train, Discuss, and Manage. Click on Train and the first episode will load. The episodes are in order of progression (Appendix A lists the training episodes). Click on the training and your e-course will open in a new tab and start playing.
Who do I contact if I need assistance?
If you have a general question, try asking your peers in the Discussion forum. You can start a new thread by clicking on Create a new thread. If you have a community manager, they will respond right away. If you have a technical support question, you will need to contact your administrator. For all other questions regarding QUEsocial, feel free to contact us directly at email@example.com.
QUEsocial User Guide
This section will help you navigate through the platform so that you are quickly up and running with your social recruiting activities. You will find:

You will receive an email notification with login instructions. Your username will not change from the one that is assigned to you, but you will be prompted to change your password when you login for the first time. You can access the platform by going to http://my.quesocial.com.
Forgotten Password or Username
If you forget your password, click on Forgot Password and the system will direct you on how to reset your password. The same is true for your username.
Managing your Account: Change Password, Create and Edit Profile and Preferences
To create or change your password, simply click on the Manage tab. Then click on Change my password and follow the instructions.
From the Manage tab you can also:
- Upload or change your profile picture
- Update your personal information
- Set your preferences to receive new content alerts
- Alerts can be sent via email or to your smartphone. Be sure to select the options that are best for you.
- Change your security question which will help us retrieve your password
To complete any of these functions, simply click on the desired link and follow the instructions.
MANAGE ACCOUNT SCREEN
Linking Your Social Networks
To share content and earn QUE points, you will need to link at least one of your social networks. You can do so by clicking on the Manage tab. Once there, you will go to My Accounts and you will see Link Account next to the Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn icons. Click on Link Accounts for all of the networks you wish to connect to QUE and follow the instructions.
NOTE: Have your login information for each social network handy.

Re-Connecting Your Social Networks
From time to time one of your social networks may unlink from the platform. This might happen if you change a password, have multiple accounts on the same network, or the network requires an authentication update. When this happens you should receive an email notification from the platform letting you know to re-link your network. To do so log into http://my.quesocial.com, click the “Manage” tab, and find the icon for the correct social network. Next to that icon, you will find a link that says “Link X Account”. Click that link and follow the instructions to re-link your account.
Accessing and Viewing Training
To access any of the QUEsocial Training episodes (listed in Appendix A), simply click on the Train tab. From there you can choose from among any of the available episodes by clicking on the title of the desired training along the right side of the screen.
Once the Training episode is selected, simply click on the center image and the Training will launch. You will need to advance the training by clicking on the Next button, located at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.
Sharing content is the cornerstone of the QUEsocial platform. Once you link at least one of your social networks to QUEsocial, you will be ready to share.
Click on the Share tab. From there you can preview the featured content located in the center of the screen, or click on any of the content titles located in the Shareable Content menu at the right of the screen.
Once you find content you want to share, you can click on the green Share button at the bottom of each article.

Once you click Share, a pop-up box will launch that includies a link to the article. You also have 140 characters where you can add your personal message. BEFORE hitting submit, click on the icon for the social network or networks with which you wish to share the content; you can select one or all of them, including the various LinkedIn Groups you are a part of. Once you share the article to your chosen network(s), the icon will disappear to ensure that you do not share the same piece of content twice.

Selecting, Completing, and Reporting Challenges
Immediately upon logging into the QUEsocial platform, the game begins – there’s nothing you need to do to start the game or keep track of your points. The system will do this for you.
To view available challenges, click See All under the Challenge tab, which is viewable from any screen, and a pop-up box will appear to display My Challenges (your current challenges) and Available Challenges.
After reading the details of a challenge, you may decide you would prefer not to select a challenge. Simply select Try Later and then either complete the remaining challenge or Start a new challenge from the Available Challenges.
If you are reporting a Scout’s Honor Challenge, select from the dropdown menu under Self-Report Win. Select the challenge you would like to report a win for and click Submit.

This course will teach you how to develop a talent community on social channels, their value to your recruiting efforts and how to convert them into referrals and hires.
