May 2020 Release adds an ability for recruiters to Mass Update attributes for multiple contacts at once in CRM. Also, Tasks and Reminders are available for sourcers and recruiters in CRM for better management of talent pipelines.
Tasks and Reminders in CRM
CRM users can now create and assign tasks to themselves or other users of the system, to manage their pipeline in an organized and efficient manner. Reminders for due tasks help sourcers accomplish the tasks in time.
Tasks are set up in relation to specific contacts. While viewing the specific contact profile, there is an option to ‘Add Task’ under the Tasks section. It opens up a new window where task title, whom this task is assigned to and due date of this task can be added.
One can create new tasks and review existing ones for this contact, categorized by - Upcoming, completed and Overdue under Tasks section. Simply toggle through to view tasks under each status category. Click the icons next to the task title to mark a task as completed, or to add to your calendar, or edit/delete the tasks.
A good way to keep on top of your tasks related to all contacts is to use the ‘My Tasks’ space. It can be found under your user profile icon’s dropdown. Searching/Sorting helps you get to specific tasks quickly.
To keep track of all tasks of the user, reminders are sent as emails to the assigned user for due tasks. A daily email digest also lets the user know of upcoming tasks.
Mass Update of Contacts in CRM
The Mass Update of Contacts functionality gives recruiters the ability to mass update attributes for multiple contacts at once in CRM. For example, if 100s of contacts that have been added to the CRM as a result from a recruiting event, then, the sourcer/recruiter would want to update all these contacts with a particular tag, or update their location, or education (if it is a college event), etc. In such cases, the ability to mass update contacts is a very useful feature for the user. Mass update of contacts is currently available for the standard fields of the contact.
To use this feature, you can select the contacts you want to update from ‘Contacts’ main page or from Smart Folders or from job folders (only in Applicants, Candidate, and Offer Section). Please note that mass contact update from Custom Folders will be made available in future releases. Once the desired contacts are selected, use the ‘Actions’ dropdown and select ‘Mass Update’ option.
Next, you will be able to see the number of profiles selected on top with ‘Fields’ dropdown. Standard contact fields are available here to choose and its value can be selected. Once the desired fields are selected with its value or values, then simply click the ‘Update’ button and all the contacts will be updated at once.
