As part of SmashFlyX, there is the ability to add skill tests as part of the contact review process for a position. There is also the ability for On Demand Interviews, a video process where an interview can be set up and recorded without the need for you to participate directly. Both of these features are a paid service. Please contact your customer service representative if you are interested.
Symphony Talent has been a leaders in skill testing for two decades. We have a large library of tests, from hard skills like accounting and computer knowledge to behavioral skills like customer service and values. Our clients use these tests as an efficient way to gauge the ability of job applicants.
Assuming you have this feature in your CRM, you can find the tests by going to a contact profile. Open the profile and scroll to the bottom The test section is on the bottom right in the Skills section.
In the above image, you can see that this contact has been assigned two tests: 'Customer Service Success + Turnover Risk' and 'Professional Success.' The first test is still incomplete and the contact needs to finish it. The second test is compete and the result was a score of 18.
If you select the View link, you can see the actual test performance and mulit-page professional review. This aids you in your assessment of the contact.
To assign a test, go to the Skills section and select +Add. This will open the add window. Click in the search bar and all of your available tests will appear. You can also type in the search bar to find a specific test.
Select the test(s) you want, They will fill the search window. When you are ready, select Send.
The test(s) will be sent to the contact and appear in their career site account in the Assessments section.
The contact will also receive an email that they have been assigned a test or tests.
Once they complete the test(s), the information will appear back in the SmashFlyX CRM in their contact Skills section.
On Demand Interview
This is a product that Symphony Talent has developed for recruiters to conduct video interviews without the need to be present for the interview. Just like assigning a skill test, an on demand interview can be assigned to a contact through the Skills section of the contact profile.
These interviews are usually short, consisting of 4 - 6 questions with a few minutes to answer each. The contact will receive the interview notice and an automation will take them through the questions step by step. Their responses will be recorded and the recording will appear in their contact Skills section for you to review and score.
The video interviews need to be set up by you and our Symphony Talent engineers and then made available in your SmashFlyX account. Also, the interviews can record both voice and image or just voice.
Here is an example. I have an On Demand Interview for internal contacts that I will assign via the Skill section for a contact.
The contact will receive an email telling them they have a test and the interview request appears in their career profile.
When the contact selects Begin Session, an easy to follow automation will introduce them to the process and step them through. For my interview, the contact is allowed 1 minute to prepare and then 2 minutes to answer, controlled at their pace.
A simple introduction with the estimated time the interview will take.
Friendly and easy to follow guidance.
Automation to continue with the contact through the interview process.
And then the heart of the interview where answers will be recorded ad sent on once the contact is finished with time allowed to both consider and answer each question.
And then the test completes.
The recording will now appear in the Skills section of the contact's profile in SmashFlyX.
Selecting View will allow you to see and hear the recording as well as make notes and ratings.
