September 2020 Release introduces SmashFlyX CRM’s new user interface (UI) of contacts and folders to make contact sorting and management easier. Keep track of how contact is progressing within a folder by managing Folder Contact Statuses and Dispositions within a folder.

Enhanced user experience with new custom columns in CRM contact listing

What’s New:
Same functionality, new user experience! We’ve redesigned SmashFlyX CRM Contacts and launched a new custom columns feature.

What is it?
The redesigned Contacts screen promotes a new structural layout, giving end users a new experience without impacting current functionality. Users can access the Contacts page by selecting the Contacts icon from the Core Navigation bar. The filters pane has been re-positioned to the top of the page above the contacts tabular view with better filter interactions. Users can access custom fields configured for each client in the filters pane by toggling the Custom Fields switch. A new custom field can be created by raising a support ticket.

The contacts grid has been re-positioned below the filters pane. This allows for more columns (maximum of 8) in the contacts grid.

Contact Actions changes position where all the mass contact actions have now been bundled together and sit under the ‘Actions’ button which is under the Filters section. To perform an action for a contact(s), select one or more contacts by selecting the checkboxes next to their names, select the Actions dropdown positioned under the filters pane, and then select the appropriate action. Actions that require permission, need to be enabled in the Tools  > Feature Permissions section, or else they will not display in the Actions dropdown.

To create contacts, select the ellipsis icon located to the right, above the filters pane. Contacts can be created from a resume, manually create, and via bulk upload.

With new custom columns you and your team can now:

  • Customize columns depending on your requirements, e.g., if you’re only interested in viewing location, source, and title, you can remove the rest of the columns from view.
  • View column layout based on your last configuration before logging out; the platform remembers your choices.

Users can choose what columns display in the contacts grid by selecting the column layout icon. Selecting this icon will open the column checkbox modal window and allow users to select/deselect what columns to display depending on their requirements. A maximum of 8 columns in the contacts grid is allowed. The selected column layout is remembered by the system and will persist when users log out and back into the system.

For example, based on the checkbox modal screenshot below, the Name, Title, Education, Location, Tags, Resume, Email, Added on, and Type columns will display in the contacts grid. The rest of the columns have been turned off.

Admins and privileged user roles can enable this new experience by navigating to Tools > Feature Permissions > Main Menu > SFX Contact List Feature. Once the ‘SFX Contact List Feature’ setting has been enabled, users will have to sign out and back in again for the enabled feature to take effect. Use the columns icon on the Contacts page to begin customization.

Folder Contact Status and Disposition in CRM
What’s New:

Sourcers and recruiters can now view and manage contact statuses/dispositions of folders that contacts are associated with.

What is it?
Folder Contact Statuses are contact statuses that exist for a contact within a folder.  Folder Contact status is used to segment the contacts within a folder and is typically used to show the journey of can contact within a folder.

A Folder Contact disposition is a sub status of the folder contact status e.g. within a  folder contact status New,  the contacts can be in  Contact attempted or Contacted disposition. This tells the CRM users that the contact is new in the folder and whether he/she has been contacted or not yet.

Folder Contact statuses and dispositions can be customized (at the client level) and each folder can have many different contact statuses i.e. New, Contacted, Invite to Apply, Not Interested in Opportunity, etc. Contacts that are in a folder, will always have a folder status. Folder contact status can be set up at the client level. Once configured, all folders will have the same set of folder statuses through which the contacts can move.

Folder Contact Status helps sourcers and recruiters manage contacts in their hiring pipeline. For example, a sourcer creates a folder called "Frontend Developer" for contacts that are suitable for Frontend Development roles. Within this folder, contacts can then be segmented into different folder contact statuses i.e. contacts recently added to the "Frontend Developer" folder, can be given the status "New"; contacts that are suitable for interview, can be given the status "Invite to Apply"; contacts that are not suitable for interview, can be given the status "Not Interested in Opportunity".

In the example screenshot below taken from a contact's profile page, the sourcer can see the contact is associated with the Medical folder with an Invite to apply folder contact status.

All clients will get a default set of folder statuses: Leads, Shortlisted, Engaged, Invite to Apply, and Not Interested in Opportunity. If clients want to change these default statues, raise a support ticket. Clients can increase the number of statuses to more than five depending on business needs by raising a support ticket.

Update a contact's folder status and disposition in two ways: via the contact's profile page or by using the mass update feature in the Folder Details page. New Folder Contact and Disposition dropdown is accessible in the filter panel of the Folder Details page.

New Folder Details page including the Contact Status column is shown below.  Previous Leads and Shortlisted segmentation have been removed.
